Sometimes in your machines or software, even though you have inches marked as a preference, it displays hoop information in metric. Therefore, I created a chart for you to print out and keep handy to help you quickly determine which hoop to select.

It is a good idea to plug your machine into a good surge protector. This is different than a power strip and will help protect your machine.

Victorious is a beautiful traditional quilt that uses the V Block units to create stars with the add interest of the diagonal chains of small squares tying the stars together.  The V Block units are also used to construct the diamond pieced border, providing a very different look from the stars in the center.

Using Deb Tucker’s V Block Ruler makes this an easy way to create the “peaky and spike” units.  Even beginning quilters will be able to do this one. We won’t be able to get this one completed in class but my goal will be to get at least three blocks done and we can do the diamond border and can make a table runner.  If you don’t want to use your blocks for a table runner, then we will have covered all of the techniques in order to complete the quilt on your own.

We will begin at 11:00 and will work most of the day or until you get tired.  I suggest a bagged lunch and something to drink.

This class is for people who purchased their Babylock serger from the Murfreesboro store, but prefer to come to our store for classes since it is closer.

We’re stepping it up working with our cording and gathering feet creating a nice pillow “duvet”.  Once you have mastered these, you can make covers for pillows for different seasons or holidays.  We will be learning how to put a zipper in and how to finish edges with the wave stitch or rolled hem.

This is a Ricky Timms technique that creates a beautiful play on color and design. It is very easy, yet looks complicated. The class will create a wall size quilt; but several of these can be beautifully combined to make a bed quilt.

We will begin with the very basics - quilting tools and how to use them, choosing fabric and patterns, and will progress with techniques and assembly involved in creating and completing your quilt down including the final steps of quilting and binding. Our project will be a simple lap quilt but with an easy adjustment so it will look like a more difficult pattern. We will meet every other week for 5 classes. The weeks in between will give you time to practice on what we learned in the last lesson.

After years of doll making, I have designed a doll pattern that is user friendly and offers numerous options for positions, details, face painting and clearly detailed directions. If you have always wanted to try doll making; but have been intimidated by complicated patterns, this is the class for you!

Individual instruction will be given so that student's creations will each be unique to the maker. Lots of fun!!!!
