Home of the Brave Quilt Project

Dedicated to honoring America's fallen heroes

This is a nationwide volunteer group dedicated to making quilts for the families of all America's Fallen Heroes in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. MidSouth Sewing is trying to recruit people to volunteer to help with this project. You can do as much or as little as you want. Some people are just donating fabric, some people are doing squares, others are doing whole tops or complete quilts. The blocks are soooo easy to do!!!!! We will have several scheduled sew-ins at the store. If you want to participate, we will have information at the store on how to do the blocks and quilts.

For more information visit the website: www.homeofthebravequilts.com

We have put lots of fabrics on our clearance table that would be great for these quilts.

Cindy Hogan

Many of you knew Cindy when she lived in the area and did classes at Best Sewing. Since she left the area, she has become a certified PE-Design instructor and travels around the country training store personnel on how to use the software. Cindy has an excellent book, Digitizing's So Easy, that is a wonderful way to learn the software (especially if you don't have any other way to learn it. Even then, it is an excellent reference book. She now lives in Murfreesboro and has her own web sit. Click on the picture below to go to her web site.

Rebecca Brent

Rebecca is just now getting her website up and running. She will be adding to it as she finds time. If you don't know Rebecca, she does some of our club presentations and classes when she is not busy writing articles for nationally known magazines. She is extremely talented and is a fantastic teacher. Rebecca supplies tips twice a month on the Rebecca's Corner page of our website. Click on Rebecca's picture to go to her sight.
